Alfresco Kitchen Garden

This fantastic kitchen garden boasts raised beds and a pergola made of recycled steel I-beams.  A raised fish pond with a fountain in the center provides visual contrast and adds the soothing sound of running water. Large enough to provide plenty of fresh food for the family, plus a dining table and swing, this kitchen garden doubles as a place for alfresco dinner parties.

The garden is watered from an underground cistern (see photo) that collects water from the roof and is powered by a small solar panel.  Additionally there is a ‘rain pillow’ under the back porch that collects roof water and is used to refresh the fish pond.
